Establishing Correlation between Cruise Ship Activities and Ambient PM Concentrations in the Kotor Bay Area Using a Low-Cost Sensor Network

چکیده
The analysis of cruise ships is focusing on port areas where they may represent a significant source anthropogenic emissions. In order to determine the correlation between ship activities (hoteling and maneuvering) in ports with ambient concentration pollutants associated marine diesel fuel combustion, low-cost sensors are finding their market share due lower prices compared referent ones. this study, network four PM was used PM2.5 PM10 mass concentrations Kotor Bay area during 27 days peak summer season, 10-min resolution. Recorded data Openair model were investigate potential relationship operations temporal fluctuations air. Additionally, an Tier 3 methodology developed through European Monitoring Evaluation Programme Environmental Agency (EMEP/EEA) applied estimate total study has shown that weather conditions play role local concentrations, so that, predominant ENE wind directions, west side experienced average higher both PM10. Rain precipitation winds tend decrease rapidly concentrations. Higher levels mainly speeds inflows from neighboring berths/anchorages. During maneuvering (arrival departure) ships, spikes values detected, being more visible for than PM2.5. A daily ships’ estimated emission not found. As result, resolution demonstrated stronger correlation.

Accurate and reliable time is necessary for financial and legal transactions, transportation, distribution systems, and many other applications. Time synchronization protocols such as NTP (the Network Time Protocol) have kept clocks of such applications synchronized to each other for many years. Nowadays there are many commercial GPS based NTP time server products at the market but they almost ...

15 صفحه اولTowards Establishing Ambient Network Environment
In this article, we introduce a new concept for the future information environment, called an “ambient information environment (AmIE).” We first explain it, especially emphasizing the difference from the existing ubiquitous information environment (UbIE), which is an interaction between users and environments. Then, we focus on an ambient networking environment (AmNE) which supports the AmIE as...
